Welcome to the website of the Kugatsu Karate-Do The purpose of this website is to provide information about the Kugatsu Karate-Do for all its members and those interested in finding out more about our club. We are a thriving karate club based in the west end of Glasgow, teaching Shukokai Karate to over 100 students of all ages and abilities. Sensei Graham McCann (5th Dan), our Chief Instructor, opened the first of our two dojo on the 6th September 1995 in the Kelvindale area of the city. Our Chief Instructor Sensei McCann started his Shukokai Karate career in 1974 when he joined the world famous Kobe Osaka Karate-Do Renmei, headed by Shihan Tommy Morris (the father of Scottish Karate). Affiliations The Kugatsu Karate-Do is an active member of Baska Karate, i.e. the Scottish section of the British All Styles Karate Association (B.A.S.K.A.), the Scottish Karate Governing Body (S.K.G.B.) and the Sports Council for Glasgow. Child Protection The Kugatsu Karate-Do implements the Scottish Karate Governing Body Child Protection Policy.
